Bocian

W ciepły letni poranek
na łączkę wyszedł bocianek.
Tak dostojnie spaceruje,
w trawie żabek wypatruje.
Bo żabusia czy kijanka
wielki przysmak dla bocianka.
A gdy brzuszek już pełniutki,
dziobkiem swoim czerwoniutkim
dom buduje, hen wysoko,
aby bliżej ku obłokom.
A po pracy już zmęczony.
Śpi słodziutko w skrzydłach żony.

In the warm summer morning
to the meadow came a stork.
Dignified he was wandering
and looking for frogs.
As frogs and tadpoles
are storks' delicacy .
When his belly was full
with his red beak
he builds his house
high up, closer to clouds.
Tired after his work
He sleeps sweetly in his wife's wings.
